Privacy and cookies
1. Data controller
The controller of personal data collected via this website is Dr. Alexy Choffel, gynecologist-obstetrician in Geneva.
Contact: secretariatdrchoffel@amge.ch
2. Legal framework
The processing of personal data is governed by the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP / revised FADP) and, where applicable, by the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
3. Data collected and purposes
This website is primarily informational. It does not offer a contact form that collects health data. The contact details displayed (phone, email, clinic addresses) are solely for getting in touch or booking an appointment with the indicated practices.
Depending on your choices, the following processing may take place:
- Website operation — technical data needed for display and security (possible server logs from the hosting provider).
- Appointment booking — via the third-party service OneDoc, when you open the booking module.
- Audience measurement — via Google Tag Manager / Google Analytics, only if you have consented to analytics cookies.
4. Cookies
A cookie is a small file stored on your device. We use the following categories:
- Essential — required for the website to function and to remember your consent preferences. Always active. Legal basis: overriding interest / technical necessity.
- Functional — related to the online appointment service (OneDoc). The widget loads when you explicitly request an appointment. Cookies or similar technologies may be set by OneDoc under its own policy.
- Analytics — Google Tag Manager and associated tags (e.g. Google Analytics) to understand website usage. Disabled by default; enabled only with your consent. Legal basis: consent.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time via the “Manage cookies” link at the bottom of the page, or refuse non-essential cookies on your first visit.
5. Google Tag Manager / Google
If you accept analytics cookies, Google Tag Manager loads the tags configured in our container (including any Google audience measurement tools). Google may process data (technical identifiers, pages viewed, etc.) under its terms and privacy policy. We use Consent Mode so that analytics tags only activate after your agreement.
6. OneDoc (appointment booking)
Online booking is provided by OneDoc (onedoc.ch). When you open the module, you leave the strict scope of this website to interact with a third-party service. The data you enter there (identity, contact details, reason for visit, etc.) is processed by OneDoc and/or the practice under their own rules. Please consult OneDoc’s privacy policy for more details.
7. Recipients and transfers
Possible recipients include: the practice secretariat, technical providers (hosting, OneDoc, Google where applicable). Transfers outside Switzerland / the EEA may occur via Google services; these rely on contractual and technical mechanisms provided by the vendor.
8. Retention period
Cookie preferences are stored locally in your browser until deleted or expired (renewed when the consent policy is updated). Analytics data follows the retention periods configured in Google tools. Appointment data follows the practice’s and OneDoc’s rules.
9. Your rights
Under the nFADP, you may in particular:
- request access to your personal data;
- request rectification of inaccurate data;
- request erasure or restriction of processing, within legal limits;
- withdraw your consent to analytics cookies at any time;
- lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
To exercise your rights relating to this website, contact secretariatdrchoffel@amge.ch.
10. Updates
This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the website or legislation. The version published on this page prevails.
